Our client is looking for an innovative, collaborative and decisive Executive Editor to direct the publishing strategy, drive the growth, and maintain the success and prestige of this flagship journal portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building a strong network and influential relationships with leading figures in the science community, establishing important collaborations with universities and societies, and identifying opportunities for innovation and community-led drivers for publication.

You will need:

  • experience in setting, developing and leading the implementation of commissioning plans to support a major journal launch and the ambitious development of a research area identified for growth.
  • excellent understanding of the needs of authors, referees, editors and readers in this field - Fluid Mechanics.
  • relevant deep subject knowledge, whether through your academic career or publishing experience, is important, as is a firm grasp of open access momentum and the open research environment.
