This is an exciting opportunity to join an international Editorial team publishing a number of leading academic journals. Your focus will be on journals in the Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
The ideal candidate will have existing experience managing a journal portfolio, including creating journal development plans, managing society relationships, forecasting and budgeting, negotiating contracts, running editorial board meetings, advising external stakeholders on strategy, and ensuring successful launches. The role may bring opportunities to develop new launches and acquire society journal contracts.

Your career to date will have given you hands-on experience in STM journal publishing. In particular, you have a good understanding of the impact of open research in the various disciplines within the physical sciences.
Ideally you have good familiarity with the physical sciences, through your academic background (preferably Masters' level) and your publishing experience. Research experience in a relevant area would be valuable.
The position will be based in the Cambridge or New York office, with a hybrid approach that will allow some home-working. The successful candidate will also be expected to travel to support the management and development of the lists.
The role provides an exciting opportunity to join a globally run, expanding business, with significant responsibility for the right individual.
The Physical Sciences team sits within a highly collaborative group of Journal Editorial colleagues, and is encouraged to develop a broader understanding of new publishing initiatives.
